Good news from North American Konkani Association. The long awaited hassle free avenue to help people in need is here.
Konkani Charitable Fund Inc. is now an officially registered non-profit
charitable organization under IRS code 501(C)(3).
We can now support our favorite charities in India that provide humanitarian service to Konkanis. These charities may include educating the needy boys and girls, helping with alleviation of poverty, helping with better healthcare, taking care of the elderly or any such activities that are deemed humanitarian. In order to stay within IRS guidelines, these charities must be reviewed and approved by the board.
Our Charter:
We are an organization whose goal is to conduct activities for the benefit of needy Konkani-speaking people in the U.S., India and worldwide.
Our Mission:
We want to engage in activities which are going to be positive for our community. We are not limited to, but do
- Funding and assisting of orphanages and old age homes in India
- Raising and dispersing funds for educational scholarships
- Holding cultural and social events
- Funding and organizing health camps and food drives

You can support in many ways. You can make financial contribution through Konkani Charitable Fund, Inc to one of the approved charities. You can make a general contribution. You can recommend organizations that provide service to betterment of Konkani people. Remember that all your financial contributions through Konkani Charitable Fund qualify for tax considerations. (We suggest that for actual tax consequences consult your own financial advisor).
We now have a list of approved charitable organizations. This list will grow with your support. For the time being please contact one of the board members preferably by email with any questions or suggestions. That will help us to accomplish the mission of this charitable fund.
